Matheuzza é atriz, diretora, autora-roteirista, curadora, pesquisadora e professora de teatro. Mestra e doutoranda em Artes Cênicas pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes Cênicas da Universidade Federal da Bahia (PPGAC/UFBA) e Universidade da Califórnia, Berkeley (UCB). Desde 2022 tem atuado entre o Brasil e os Estados Unidos para o desenvolvimento de sua pesquisa em torno da travestilidade nas artes cênicas. Atua como curadora e júri em festivais de cinema e roteiro, bem como realiza consultoria em projetos de arte. Trabalhou no comitê curatorial do Intersectional Power Fund do Black Migrant Power Fund para a alocação de fundos entre 2024 e 2025, bem como integrou o All Due Respect Cohort em 2025-2026, ambos nos Estados Unidos. Atualmente é uma Research Fellow no Black Migrant Power Fund, BMPF (2026-2027) e atua na equipe de pesquisa do Fundo. Desde 2024, integra a equipe de curadores na categoria do concurso de argumentos de ficção do Festival de Roteiro Audiovisual de Porto Alegre (FRAPA). Integra atualmente o time de talentos da produtora Ori Imagem e Som e o corpo docente do Centro de Formação em Artes (CFA) da Fundação Cultural do Estado da Bahia (FUNCEB).

Matheuzza tem atuado desde 2024 como consultora e curadora de projetos nos Estados Unidos ao lado de organizações não-governamentais como Black Migrant Power Fund e All Due Respect. Entre 2024 e 2025 atuou como conselheira no Transgender and Gender Non Conforming (TGNC) Subcommitte parte do Intersectional Power Fund responsável por aconselhar o fundo a selecionar organizações a receberem fundos para as suas operações. Entre 2025 e 2026 fez parte do Sustaining Immigrant Organizers Cohort organizado pela All Due Respect Organization responsável por produzir um documento de orientação, suporte e estratégias para diretores executivos, fundadores, ativistas e militantes nos Estados Unidos a fim de mitigar os desafios enfrentados por ativistas e militantes sociais.

Matheuzza is an actor, director, writer/screenwriter, curator, researcher, and performing arts educator. She holds a Master’s degree and is a doctoral candidate in Performing Arts through the Graduate Program in Performing Arts at the Federal University of Bahia (PPGAC/UFBA) and the University of California, Berkeley (UCB). Since 2022, she has been working between Brazil and the United States to develop her research on travesti identity and presence in the performing arts. She serves as a curator and juror for film and screenwriting festivals and provides consultancy for art projects. She served on the curatorial committee for the Black Migrant Power Fund’s Intersectional Power Fund (allocating funds for 2024–2025) and was part of the All Due Respect Cohort (2025–2026), both in the United States. She is currently a Research Fellow at the Black Migrant Power Fund (BMPF) (2026–2027) and a member of the Fund's research team. Since 2024, she has been part of the curatorial team for the Porto Alegre Screenwriting Festival (FRAPA). She is currently part of the talent roster at the production company Ori Imagem e Som and serves on the faculty of the Center for Arts Training (CFA) at the Bahia State Cultural Foundation (FUNCEB).

Matheuzza has been working as a consultant and project curator in the United States since 2024, alongside non-governmental organizations such as the Black Migrant Power Fund and All Due Respect. Between 2024 and 2025, she served as an advisor on the Transgender and Gender Non-conforming (TGNC) Subcommittee, part of the Intersectional Power Fund, responsible for advising the fund on selecting organizations to receive funding for their operations. Between 2025 and 2026, she was part of the Sustaining Immigrant Organizers Cohort, organized by the All Due Respect, responsible for producing a resource of guidance, support, and strategies for executive directors, founders, and organizers across America to mitigate the work challenges faced by organizers.
