Born in Irará and raised in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, I have resided and honed my craft in Salvador. As a writer, screenwriter, and playwright, I endeavor to immortalize my words on the stages of the Americas. My inspiration stems from my city and the indomitable spirit of its inhabitants. I aim to capture the essence of fantasy, fiction, and the unflinching realities of our communities and daily lives through my artistic endeavors.

Nascida em Irará e criada em Salvador, Bahia, Brasil, residi e aprimorei meu ofício em Salvador. Como escritora, roteirista e dramaturga, me esforço para imortalizar minhas palavras nos palcos das Américas. Minha inspiração vem da minha cidade e do espírito indomável de seus habitantes. Meu objetivo é capturar a essência da fantasia, da ficção e das realidades inabaláveis de nossas comunidades e vidas diárias por meio de meus esforços artísticos.

Her project for a tv show based on the original idea for the feature film MARES was one of 16 selected (1st Phase) and one of 8 selected (2nd Phase), receiving a prize totaling $5,000 for project development, from the Laboratório Negras Narrativas (Nacional) 2023 carried out by the Associação de Profissionais do Audiovisual Negro (APAN) with sponsorship from Amazon Studios.
Seu projeto para obra seriada baseado na ideia original do longa-metragem MARES foi um dos 16 selecionados (1ª Etapa) e um dos 8 selecionados (2ª Etapa), recebendo um prêmio no valor total de R$23.000,00 para desenvolvimento do projeto, do Laboratório Negras Narrativas (Nacional) 2023 realizado pela Associação de Profissionais do Audiovisual Negro (APAN) com patrocínio da Amazon Studios.
My first feature-length script, Mares, was a finalist at the 2022 Cabíria Festival in the fiction category and was awarded the ELAS Seal Award at the same festival. I received consulting services in developing, producing, and distributing feature films from Elo Company Studios and Telecine.
Seu primeiro roteiro de longa Mares foi finalista do Cabíria Festival 2022 na categoria de ficção e premiado com o Prêmio Selo ELAS no mesmo festival. Recebeu consultoria em desenvolvimento, produção e distribuição de longas-metragem pela Elo Company Studios e Telecine.
Nominated as a new actress at the 2020 Braskem Theater Award (currently, Bahia AplaudeAward) for her performance in the play Black Skin, white masks based on Frantz Fanon work.
Indicada como atriz revelação no Prêmio Braskem de Teatro 2020 (atual, Prêmio Bahia Aplaude) pela atuação no espetáculo Pele Negra, máscaras brancas.

In 2023, I served as curator of the Cabíria Festival in the Lab Feature Film category.
The feature film project, written between Salvador and Philadelphia, Overbrook was selected to be part of the IV Griot (2023) Writing Lab, held in Curitiba, PR.
Mares, a tv show project, was awarded a prize worth a total of $5,000 at the Lab Negras Narrativas (2023) sponsored by Prime Video | Amazon Studios.
In 2024, Overbrook was selected to participate in the Pitching Gira.Afro Lab as part of the 17th Zózimo Bulbul Cinema Meeting in Rio de Janeiro, RJ.
She has been part of the curatorial team in the Screenplay Competition category since 2024, a jury member in the Short Film Showcase at the XII FRAPA (2024), and a member of the Pitchings Panel: Finalists Screenplay Competition - Feature Film XIII FRAPA (2025) at the Porto Alegre Audiovisual Screenwriting Festival, RS.
